Elon Musk tweets – what is Tesla’s supercomputer doing with Dogecoin?

Tesla CEO and DOGE enthusiast, Elon Musk, tweeted about Tesla’s supercomputer Dojo and Dogecoin. The share price rises 7 percent in response.

In a tweet on 21 February, Elon Musk mentioned Tesla’s Dojo supercomputer in connection with Dogecoin.

Elon Musk tweeted “Dojo 4 Doge.” Dojo is a Tesla supercomputer for training neural networks. The word originally stands for schools or training facilities of Japanese martial arts.

Dojo was first mentioned by Musk in April 2019. Since then, neither the Tesla CEO nor anyone else has talked or tweeted much about it. Rumours on Reddit suggest that Musk mentioned Dojo and DOGE together because the cryptocurrency of Bitcoin Evolution would be used to power the Tesla supercomputer. However, this is pure speculation.

DOGE seems to be Elon Musk’s favourite coin. Time and again, Musk has mentioned Dogecoin. Nevertheless, it has never been officially confirmed to what extent the Tesla boss holds Dogecoin. Since Musk’s tweet, the Dogecoin price has moved up 7 percent.

At the time of the tweet, DOGE was at US$0.0578.

A little later, the price reached a high of 0.0594 US dollars

In his profile description, Musk wrote: “meta fork”. Previously, his profile description said “bitcoin”. This raises speculation about whether Musk could be a proponent of forks. The last time the profile description was changed to “bitcoin”, the BTC price went from $32,000 to $38,500 in one day. A correction occurred in the following days

After Elon Musk changed his Twitter profile picture to “Animie bitcoin girl” last Friday, he changed his Twitter profile picture again last night. The new profile picture is a fork stuck in cracked asphalt.

In addition, Musk posted a video about Bitcoin, commenting on it with the words “cryptocurrency explained”.

It remains to be seen what impact tweets will have on BTC and DOGE and possible forks.
