Juliet Rowe, Fundraising Officer

Meet Juliet, our Fundraising Officer.

Her role includes:
o Meeting the fundraising goals and objectives defined by the AKU Society
o Research and identify potential trusts and foundations
o Develop new ideas for sponsored events
o Work with the AKU Society team to organise and run existing events
o Write and submit proposals to relevant trusts and foundations

Juliet grew up in Cambridgeshire and studied History at Newcastle University, where she did her dissertation on the Freedom Ride movement in America. Whilst at university, Juliet was involved with raising money for Age U.K. and recently completed a skydive in February 2018.

During her last year at university, Juliet completed an internship with the charity, Traidcraft, which is dedicated to fighting poverty through trade. This internship inspired Juliet to carry on with working within the charity sector. She has now moved back to Cambridgeshire after graduating in June 2018.

Outside of work, Juliet enjoys gaming and walking with her dogs. She loves to travel with her family and when she has the time she likes to visit her university friends. She is interested in getting involved in social events around Cambridge.
